Here Comes Baby #3!

This is our first announcement of Baby #3! We're very excited about this baby. We found out a while ago that we were expecting, but kept the news close to us for a while. We're now at 14 weeks, 6 days. Feeling better on my end and still fitting into my clothes. Today, we had a doctors appointment and had a little trouble finding the heartbeat, so we had a quick ultrasound.

We found out that:

It's a boy!

It can be hard to see that info this early along, but he had no problem sharing the news. It was the first thing the doctor saw. She did say not to go out and buy boy clothes until after the next ultrasound in September just in case.

Here are the ultrasound pictures:

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Ryan turned 4 last week. He was sick during his birthday, so he didn't get to enjoy it as much as we hoped. But he is very proud to be 4 years old. He no considers himself a 'big boy'. On his birthday we had an entire day of Ryan picking foods - eggs for breakfast, pizza for lunch and hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for dinner.

He got to open all the gifts we had here for him. We got him a boom box for his bedroom, but we haven't set it up yet - so we'll have to see how that works out. He received a fun Curious George game from Aunt Amy & Uncle Kevin, which we played this weekend. From Grammie, he received a scooter, which was his favorite gift so far!

On Saturday, we went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate with a few of Ryan's friends (and Buppa, Nana and Robin who came down for it). Ryan has been ready for this since Emma's birthday. He was disappointed on his birthday to find out his party wasn't that day. Ryan loved the cake I made with M&M's on it. Everyone had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from the party.

Fun Times All Around

We've been having a busy summer. So busy, that I haven't had time to update anything. I'm so behind. Sorry.

Here are some of the things we've been doing this summer.

The New Hair Styles of Emma

Yeah! Emma's hair has finally gotten long enough to do something with. It has been hanging in her face for a while now, but there wasn't enough to do anything but brush it to the side. About two weeks ago, I was able to put a little clip of mine in her hair. Since then, we've moved onto barrettes and ponytails! It's still not growing much in the back though.
.
How exciting for her to look like a girl! Kris has no idea what to do with her! But at least it keeps it out of her face. Oh - and she looks cute!

Summer Days

Evidently, I've only been loading the pictures from one camera at a time, yet using both of them. So here are some older pictures that I just loaded.

The first bunch are from the kids and Kris playing in the sprinkler in the backyard. I just love the one of Ryan in the green!

This is a picture of Emma watching our neighbors out the window, she is very interested in what goes on outside. It makes us need to keep our windows closed more than we would want to so she doesn't lean on the screens.

This picture is from Emma's first bike ride. She had a great time, but was glad to get home!

This picture is of the kids first summer picnic outside. Emma didn't want to sit still and was convinced that Ryan's grapes were better than hers somehow.

Happy 4th of July

We took a trip to PA this past weekend for the annual Kevin Harper Fireworks Show! And I must say it was spectacular. He really gives some professional ones a run for their money. Funny to see that some of the neighbors drive out and sit in their cars to see it. Neighbor Bill was even in his tree stand for it! Ryan was scared at the beginning of the fireworks, but calmed down once he was sitting on Kris's lap with his hands over his ears. Emma did fine for a while, but then decided she was too tired and didn't want to sit through anymore of these loud things - just put me to bed!
They both did have a great time. Not sure why, but I have no pictures of Ryan! He was always busy though and Emma hung around me a lot! Kris's cousin Jeff brought over an old wagon and plastic tire swing. They were both hits with all the little kids. Ryan would play on the swing the entire day if we let him! They also played horseshoes, cornhole (bean bags to Ryan), ladder golf and badmitton. Saturday, was a nice relaxing day for all.
We also got to visit with Kris's mom while we were out there and play with her for a while. And we got to try out the new improved, potty using Ryan. He made it all the way there without an accident. He had a few while we were there, mostly when he was just too busy to stop. He had one on the way home, when we were about 10 minutes from home! He has his good days and bad days! The last 3 have had poopy accidents, but he saw the big kid room at the gym and realized he could go in there if he used the potty. He said 'On Monday', so here's hoping!

Zoo Days

I just realized I hadn't updated in a while. We went to the zoo two weeks ago to see Curious George through the zoo's Zoo Tales. They have someone reading books and then a character from tv/books comes out to visit. There were a ton of people there and the microphone wasn't working all that well, so we had a hard time hearing the stories. But we happened to be at the right place for George and was one of the first people in line to see him. Ryan wouldn't do anything more than give him five, but he thought it was cool. We also ran into his teacher, Mrs. Nickell there with her son. Ryan was very embarrassed to see her outside of school. We did have a good time and even saw some new things - Ryan dragged me into the insect house! They both liked petting the goats.
And they enjoyed playing at the children's zoo. This was the first time that we have gone somewhere to play in which Emma could walk! She loved it.
